Both walls between units and those in common with hallways from the floor to the underside of the roof have Homasote 440 with Nu-Wool Wall Seal System for sound deadening. Also the floor has 2" of solid wood, then a layer of Homasote 440, 5/8" underlayment, cork to lessen the sounds of walking and then the finish flooring.

Nu-Wool Wall Seal being installed for sound deadening.

Finished walls ready for drywall.

A cross section close-up: each apartment has its own 2 x 4 framed wall with Homasote 440 between the two separate walls.

Country Arbors Nursery owner Joe Cultra and a helper move a yew already installed in the all weather planter to a platform. The platforms were constructed using 4 x 4s made from recycled automobiles and planking made from recovered wood scrapes surrounded by a stable polymer. The 4 x 4s are 4 feet long to distribute the weight across several roof rafters. The plantings were also placed to be over walls and or trusses.
