Parking

The Hickory is located in the Downtown Champaign's Central Business District Zone. Buildings in this zone typically do not provide parking as they are considered by the city to be in the core of the downtown. Parking in this zone is provided by the city with city parking lots, on street parking and a new six story parking garage on Randolph and Hill, a block from The Hickory.

The following site will provide you with more detailed information regarding parking in the downtown. This includes information for obtaining city parking permits. Currently the City of Champaign leases parking spaces on Hickory in front of our building to a number of our tenants.

Generally, there is metered parking in front of the building on Washington and the north half of the 500 block of Hickory. There is un-metered street parking beyond Columbia on Hickory. Columbia is the east-west street directly north of Washington. Both Escobar's Restaurant and Lounge (latin fusion cuisine) and The Columbia Street Roastery are on Columbia. Across Washington to the south are two city parking lots.
